Epicor’s latest release of iScala 3.3 SMB ERP update offers new reporting, analytical features and a renewed user interface.
Epicor’s iScala version 3.3 release aims to improve user experience and productivity with its new features. Updates to the software include new reporting architecture, a refreshed user interface, and additional country- and region-specific localizations.
IScala is an enterprise resource planning (ERP) software targeted at SMBs, as well as subsidiaries of larger, multinational organizations.
Epicor iScala 3.3 includes standardized reporting tools and inclusion of extended data from the iScala database, in addition to web-based and customizable SQL server reporting services, as well as integration with Epicor Data Analytics.
Additionally, iScala 3.3 comes with an upgraded user interface. The redesigned dashboard allows users to access multiple screens or key information from any point within the software. Additionally, the SMB ERP includes user tips, guidance and on-demand training.
Epicor’s iScala 3.3 also includes extended localizations, featuring country-specific capabilities to maintain international compliance.
The vendor offers various ERP products — Epicor ERP, cloud-ready Epicor Prophet 21 and Epicor Eagle, among others — which are generally suited to larger organizations with a larger scope of services. While Epicor ERP has been noted as too complicated and expensive for smaller businesses, Epicor intends iScala 3.3 as a less expensive, but full-on, alternative SMB ERP.
The iScala update follows closely behind Epicor’s April release of EVA — the vendor’s AI virtual assistant — with natural language processing technologies for voice and text message commands. EVA will be included in the latest releases of Epicor ERP and Prophet 21, planned for general availability in May 2019, but no word on integration with future iScala releases.
