women in technology

It’s an amazing time for women in technology. Opportunities abound as technology, such as cloud ERP, continues to touch and transform every aspect of our lives. And with these opportunities come increased workplace expectations and pressures. Angie Noel, the Founder and CEO (Chief Engagement Officer) of Leading With Mission, will address how women in tech today can thrive in their careers while supporting others in theirs during the Acumatica Summit 2019 Women in Technology Luncheon.

This luncheon is open to all Summit attendees (not just women) and extremely popular. If you haven’t already signed up for our fast approaching Acumatica Summit 2019 (January 27-February 1, 2019 in Houston, Texas) and want to attend the luncheon, I recommend you register right away.

About the Women in Technology Luncheon

The Acumatica Summit 2019 Women in Technology Luncheon is taking place on Tuesday, January 29, from 12:05 PM – 1:00 PM.

As I mentioned, this session is always packed. We’ve hosting this Luncheon in the Walker Street Kitchenwithin the Marriott Marquis Houston (this year’s beautiful venue) to accommodate such a large audience. Now, let me tell you a bit about Angie and what you can expect from our time together.

Angie’s 20 years of experience in Human Resources uniquely qualifies her to speak on professional and personal success. She mentors and supports leaders, focusing on engagement, value, and trust in the workplace.

With an astronomical percentage of the workforce reportedly suffering from disengagement and dissatisfaction at work, Angie advises leaders on how they can instill purpose and passion in their team. The result? A happier, healthier organization leading to satisfied customers.

During the Acumatica Summit 2019 Women in Technology Luncheon, she’ll take 30 minutes to dive into evolving trends impacting women in technology today, the importance of personal value to professional success, and strategies for defining and meeting career goals. She’ll discuss ways attendees can influence the workplace, the WIT community, and the industry.

Attendees will have an opportunity to ask Angie questions during a 15-minute Q&A period.

Empowering Women in Technology

Even though our annual cloud ERP event is just a few weeks away, there’s still time to register. And if you do, sign up for the Women in Technology Luncheon at the same time.

Angie’s desire to help leaders become more effective, fulfilled, and engaged will benefit every member of the Acumatica community. “My personal mission is to inspire people to be better than they believe they can be,” she writes in her Leading With Mission About Page. She does so by empowering women to RISE, which she explains is:

  • Recognizingthe value she brings and the opportunities available right now
  • Being Intentionalabout what she wants for and from her career
  • Being aware of what to Stopdoing that may be holding her back
  • Engagingin community; encouraging and empowering others

It’s an extremely relevant and important discussion, one that Acumatica is participating in later this month in Redmond, WA at the Microsoft Women in Cloud event on January 27, 2019. Supporting and encouraging female entrepreneurs in our community is essential, and I’m proud to share that as the Acumatica Ambassador for this initiative we’re making this a focus in 2019.
