DENSO Expands Oracle Partnership to Transform Global Supply Chain with AI-Driven Applications

DENSO CORPORATION is expanding its strategic partnership with Oracle to modernise its global supply chain operations using Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications.

The move reflects a growing priority for global manufacturers. As supply chains become more complex and data-intensive, organisations are shifting toward unified, AI-enabled platforms. The focus is increasingly on integration, visibility, and faster decision-making across the enterprise.

DENSO is extending its use of Oracle Fusion Applications by adding supply chain capabilities to its existing finance and HR systems, creating a more connected operational environment.,

Building a Unified Data Foundation

Operating across a global network of subsidiaries and customers, DENSO requires a scalable and integrated system to manage its supply chain. The company is consolidating previously fragmented processes into a single platform to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.

By standardising on Oracle Fusion Applications, DENSO is aligning supply chain data with finance and HR systems. This creates a unified data foundation to support AI, analytics, and forecasting.

Hirotsugu Takeuchi, CTO and CDO at DENSO, said:

“As supply chain operations become increasingly complex, a unified data foundation for advanced technologies such as AI and analytics and forecasting is no longer optional but essential. This initiative is not just about improving operational efficiency but represents a core system transformation to elevate the speed and quality of decision-making globally.”

From Fragmented Systems to Integrated Operations

As part of the transformation, DENSO will replace multiple legacy supply chain systems with a single AI-powered platform. The solution integrates planning, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics into one environment.

This builds on earlier deployments of Oracle Fusion ERP and HCM, which have already improved productivity, strengthened financial controls, and enhanced the employee experience.

The addition of supply chain modules is expected to expand visibility, improve execution, reduce costs, and mitigate risks across global operations.

Embedding AI and Automation at Scale

A key element of the initiative is the expansion of AI capabilities across business processes. As part of the programme, DENSO and Oracle will establish an AI centre of excellence to develop and scale AI use cases across the organisation.

The company also plans to adopt AI agents and agentic applications to further automate workflows and support real-time decision-making.

Steve Miranda, executive vice president of Applications Development at Oracle, said:

“With Oracle Fusion Applications, DENSO can adopt an AI-powered system of outcomes that can work across the business to automate end-to-end workflows, boost supply chain performance, and drive efficient global growth.”

Industry Implications

DENSO’s approach highlights a broader shift in enterprise transformation. Organisations are moving away from siloed systems toward integrated platforms that connect operations, finance, and workforce data.

For global manufacturers, the ability to unify data and embed AI into core processes is becoming critical. Supply chain resilience, operational efficiency, and decision speed are increasingly interdependent.

As enterprise platforms evolve, this type of integrated, AI-driven architecture is likely to define the next phase of digital transformation.
