Acumatica has opened a new Global Capability Center (GCC) in Hyderabad, India, expanding its international engineering footprint as the cloud ERP provider looks to accelerate product development and support its next phase of global growth.
The center, located in Nanakramguda, begins operations with more than 30 employees, with additional hiring planned in the coming months. Initially focused on engineering, the Hyderabad operation is expected to develop into a broader capability hub over time, potentially supporting additional business disciplines as Acumatica expands its presence in the region.
The investment is significant beyond the addition of another development location. For ERP vendors, access to engineering talent is becoming increasingly strategic as product roadmaps expand across AI, automation, industry-specific functionality, integrations and cloud services. Acumatica’s move gives the company a new engineering base within one of the world’s largest technology talent markets while further distributing product development across multiple regions.
Hyderabad Joins Acumatica’s Global Engineering Network
The Hyderabad GCC joins Acumatica’s existing operations in the United States, Canada, Serbia and Sri Lanka, adding another location to an increasingly distributed global organization.
According to the company, the new center is intended to serve as a center of engineering excellence, with teams in India developing products and capabilities for Acumatica customers globally rather than operating solely as a regional support function.
Miten Mehta, Chief Engineering Officer at Acumatica, described the initial team as the foundation of a much larger operation.
“We have created the core of our growth engine in India with an initial seed, and we look forward to it becoming a mature tree and a major contributor to the success of Acumatica customers and Acumatica itself.”
Mehta pointed to India’s engineering talent pool, technology ecosystem and growing role as a location for global innovation centers as key factors behind the decision to establish the operation in Hyderabad.
From Offshore Capacity to Global Product Development
The positioning of the new center reflects a wider change in how enterprise software companies are approaching global capability centers.
GCCs have traditionally been associated with cost optimization and offshore delivery. Increasingly, however, technology companies are using them to establish engineering, product development and innovation capabilities closer to major talent ecosystems.
For Acumatica, that distinction matters. The company is positioning Hyderabad as part of its core product organization, giving the India-based team a role in developing capabilities used by small and mid-sized businesses across its international customer base.
The center has been established in partnership with Summit Consulting Services, an ANSR company, which will support capability design, talent strategy and operational scaling.

Acumatica competes in an increasingly demanding segment of the ERP market. Small and mid-market organizations now expect cloud ERP platforms to deliver not only financial and operational management but also greater automation, intelligence, integration and industry-specific capabilities.
