Certinia Acquires Moonnox to Expand AI-Native Services Delivery Capabilities

As professional services organizations look to improve productivity and reduce administrative overhead, artificial intelligence is becoming an increasingly important part of project delivery. Against this backdrop, Certinia has announced the acquisition of Moonnox, an AI-native services delivery platform designed specifically for professional services organizations. The move strengthens Certinia’s AI strategy by bringing real-time contextual intelligence into its Professional Services Automation (PSA) platform and expanding the capabilities of its Veda AI System of Action.

Bringing Context-Aware AI to Professional Services

Professional services firms often manage project information across multiple applications, including collaboration tools, CRM systems, project management platforms, and video conferencing software. While AI tools can automate individual workflows, fragmented data and limited business context often reduce their effectiveness.

With the acquisition, Moonnox’s technology will capture context from enterprise applications such as Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence, and Zoom, combining that information with Certinia’s operational data to provide AI agents with a more complete understanding of projects, customer engagements, and delivery activities.

According to Certinia, this integrated approach enables organizations to automate administrative work while improving project planning, execution, and operational visibility.

AI Agents Designed for Services Delivery

The acquisition introduces a suite of AI agents intended to support key stages of the professional services lifecycle. These include proposal generation, statement of work creation, project planning, meeting summarization, risk monitoring, knowledge capture, and customer success documentation.

Rather than functioning as isolated AI assistants, the agents are designed to operate across the full engagement lifecycle—from sales through delivery and customer success—using shared organizational context.

Moonnox Co-Founder and CEO Robert Ong, who joins Certinia as part of the acquisition, emphasized the value of combining contextual intelligence with enterprise systems of record.

Moonnox’s ability to capture what happens in the room, paired with Certinia’s system of record and Agentic capabilities for services operations, closes a gap neither of us could close alone.

Early Customer Results

Certinia also shared customer feedback highlighting productivity improvements achieved with Moonnox’s AI capabilities.

Global consulting firm Spaulding Ridge, which has been using both Certinia and Moonnox, reported significantly reducing the time required to prepare solution architecture documentation.

According to Jay Laabs, Executive Chair and Founder of Spaulding Ridge, one AI agent reduced document preparation from approximately 80 hours to fewer than 20 hours, allowing consultants to spend more time on higher-value client work.

Industry Implications

The acquisition reflects a broader shift in enterprise AI strategy. Rather than deploying standalone AI tools for individual tasks, software providers are increasingly embedding AI directly into operational platforms where structured enterprise data and unstructured collaboration data can be combined.
