Rootstock Software has announced that Applied Energy Technology Corp (AETC), a manufacturer serving the aerospace and defense sector, has successfully gone live on Rootstock Cloud ERP in a move designed to strengthen planning capabilities, improve operational efficiency, and support future growth.
The deployment also reflects how manufacturers in highly regulated industries are modernizing core systems while maintaining strict compliance and security requirements.
Headquartered in Burton, Texas, AETC has more than 45 years of experience in the design and manufacturing of energetics, including explosive cartridges and other critical safety components used in aerospace and defense applications.

Strengthening Planning in a Build-to-Order Environment
According to the company, the new ERP platform is helping improve visibility across key operational areas, including material planning and labor allocation.
“With Rootstock ERP now live, we have stronger visibility into the operational drivers of our business — from material planning to labor allocation,” said Albert Leon, Chief Information Officer at HRD Aero Systems, the parent company of AETC.
He added that this level of insight is especially important in a build-to-order manufacturing environment, where production costs and lead times directly influence pricing, delivery performance, and scalability.
ERP in a Secure Government Cloud Environment
Because AETC operates in highly regulated markets, the company deployed Rootstock ERP in Salesforce Government Cloud.
According to Rootstock, this ensures alignment with U.S. government security and compliance requirements while supporting privacy, reliability, and performance needs.
Supporting Operational Growth
Caroline Marty, SVP of Global Professional Services & Enablement at Rootstock Software, said AETC has expanded product lines, entered new markets, and increased production volumes, creating the need for a stronger operational backbone.
She noted that the deployment provides AETC with a modern ERP foundation designed to improve real-time visibility and alignment across manufacturing, finance, and leadership teams.
ERP Modernization in Regulated Manufacturing
The implementation highlights a broader shift in industrial sectors where manufacturers are investing in modern ERP platforms not only for efficiency gains, but also to improve resilience, planning accuracy, and long-term scalability in increasingly complex operating environments.
