Campfire Adds Saved ERP Report Building to Ember Chat

Campfire has added a reporting workflow to Ember, its AI assistant, that lets finance teams describe a report in chat and create it directly in the ERP’s Custom Reports section. Users can then refine the saved report through follow-up requests.

The company detailed the capability in a November 4 blog post. Its product changelog lists the update under November 2, 2026. Campfire says the feature is live.

Campfire’s Ember creates saved ERP reports from chat requests, supporting transaction reports, income statements and balance sheets with follow-up edits.

From a chat request to an editable report

Users enter /campfire-custom-report in Ember and describe what they need. The assistant returns a link to a report with the relevant period, entity and filters configured. Supported outputs include transaction reports, income statements and balance sheets, with options for custom groups and formula rows.

Follow-up instructions can change the existing report, including adding a monthly breakdown or grouping results by vendor. The output remains available in Custom Reports for further adjustment or download.

An extension of Ember’s reporting capabilities

Campfire had already described AI-generated custom reports in its January 2026 product update, published on February 10. That earlier announcement covered nested reporting structures and the ability to drill down into underlying transactions. The November announcement specifically describes a command that creates and revises saved reports within Custom Reports.

For finance teams, keeping the report in the ERP could reduce the work of transferring results from a conversation into a separate reporting tool. Reviewing the selected accounts, reporting period and formulas remains part of determining whether the output answers the business question.
